One again Kevin Sylvester and Andrew Peters of the Buffalo Sabres on WGR 550 Sports Radio, along with the Buffalo JR. Sabres and the NHL Alumni Association conducted a jersey raffle to benefit Honor Flight Buffalo.  This years jersey's were from our hometown Sports teams, The Sabres, Bills, Bandits and more.

The raffle concluded on December 23.  On air they announced they raised $10,000!  Once again Patrick Kaleta and his HITS Foundation donated $4,000 to support our heroes trip of a lifetime. The NHL Alumni Association presented a check in the amount of $4,229.10!  Thank you to all who supported the raffle.

Independent Health Dress Down Day November 11, 2014

On Veteran's Day Independent Health held a dress down day and today presented Honor Flight Buffalo with the proceeds $806.07! Thank you to all the employees, special thanks to Andrew Demmin and Amy Herbst for orchestrating the fundraiser  and  inviting us out for the check presentation!  Andrew serves with the National Guard and his “Grampa” Mr. Nashwinter was on our May 3rd 2014 flight.  Helping us Keeping our Veterans Flying! Thank you.
Honor Flight Buffalo attended the Veterans Day Assembly at Eden Elementary School in Eden, NY on November 10, 2014. This is the second time this year, the students, faculty and staff of Eden Elementary School collected donations and recycled bottles to raise money to assist in carrying out our mission.  While at the Assembly we were presented their fundraising efforts totally $370.00 and $400.00 from the Eden Teachers Association - Total $770.00!

Amvets Riders - Chapter 897 of Blasdell, New York supports our heroes.  For three months after their monthly meetings they sold hot dogs to members and presented Honor Flight Buffalo with the proceeds on September 27, 2014.  $222.00, now that is a lot of hot dogs!  Veterans supporting Veterans!

Hamburg American Legion #527 presented Honor Flight Buffalo with proceeds from their Golf Tournament which was held on June 28, 2014 at the Concord Crest Golf Course.  Special thank you to Jim Koester and the Golf Committee for raising $2,000.00!  The Committee indicated they would be holding next years tournament at Holland Hills Golf Course on June 27, 2015 and again proceeds to benefit our organization.

Mercantile Adjustment Bureau's employees support Honor Flight Buffalo's mission.  Mercantile and their employees donated $1,875.00.  Thank you to everyone at Mercantile Adjustment Bureau!

Special thanks to Jim Scheiffle whose Dad, Pvt. First Class Jon C. Scheiffle served with 2nd Armoured Division and was one of the Greatest Generation who landed in Normandy. 
ConServe Employees in the Depew Office had the opportunity to dress down during the month of July. 
Honor Flight Buffalo was the charity of choice! 
Employees donated $890.00 and ConServe matched the employees' donation.

their July 2014 Share the Happy Day
